A piano reduction version of the  A Triptych of American Voices: A Cantata of The People, scored for 2 soloists, SATB Choir and Orchestra, is a kaleidoscope on prevailing themes of American political discourse from the purview of an immigrant composer. It’s a musical narrative told from the prisms of three great poems – Sympathy (aka, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings) by Paul Dunbar/Maya Angelou, As I Grew Older by Langston Hughes, and We Need to Talk by Michael Castro, interspersed with quote attributed to George Orwell (Eric Blair) and ‘responsorial’ texts from ancient oracles.
