Twenty-four Studies in African Rhythms: Volume I

The Twenty-Four Studies in African Rhythms is presented in two volumes, each containing twelve pieces individually titled after the dances or rhythmic patterns they subtly evoke. Each Study is designed to address and refine specific rhythmic challenges commonly encountered by non‑indigenous African performers I’ve worked with across the world. All 12 Studies in the first volume could be performed together as an item in a concert (about 25 minutes, total).
